How in the bloody heck do I get them to stop calling???

They start calling at about 8am and do not stop until about 9pm, it is ridiculous. The only day I really get any peace is Sunday, they do not call here I guess they have off that day.

I have tried picking the phone up and hanging it up but they just call right back and if I do not pick up they leave messages on the answering machine and by the end of the day I have like 20 messages on the machine, it is just out of hand.

It really makes me so angry and being a telemarketer is not even a job, it is a thing for those who are to lazy to get a real job or have no education and none else will hire them. Honestly I can name several telemarkiting groups around me that have nothing but immigrants , uneducated people and people who have been in jail working for them. The one a few blocks from me has 2 convicted child molesters working their that I know of and a freaking drug dealer.

IT IS DRIVING ME INSANE

The next time they call, ask to talk to their manager...if he/she is there, explain to them that you would like them to stop calling you and to take your number off their calling list(s)....make sure you get the name of the business and the name of whoever you talk with...if it continues, call the Better Business Bureau!!
Good Luck

visit the web site www.donotcall.gov register there, it may take a while to go into effect, but once the new list is published, the company can be fined $10,000 just for calling you. And if they do call you after wards get the name of the company and report it to the do not call site listed above. I did about a year ago, and has been very peaceful around here ever since.

First, add your name to the Do Not Call list.

Second, each time they call, ask to speak with a Floor Supervisor. Tell her that the company is in violation of the Federal Do Not Call Act, and ask when you can expect your $500.

(1) Get a cell phone and hook your computer up to the phone they're calling, and/or (2) when they call, come up with snappy quick answers like "I hope you find a more interesting job" or "Have a nice day" or "For that you need to call xxx-xxx-xxxx" (the number of your closest consumer-fraud hotline) all snappy responses followed by CLICK.
