I am thinking that they will be rude to us and try to catch us out to see if we are just married for convenience. (We are not - we love each other dearly)
I have heard a lot of unplaesant stories. Please be kind in your answer and only answer if you know waht you are talking about.

i used to be an immigration consultant it depends on what type of officer you get...my advice is bring all the "evidence" you can l;ove letters photos....anything that proves youare together...visa bills from holidays...trips together...ANYTHING it seems silly but you will be glad to have it if they ask!

good luck and don't say anymore than you have to!

My wife and I were both a nervous wreck. It turned out we didn't need to be. The woman who interviewed us was very nice, very professional. We had ALL kinds of information from taxes to utility bills to pictures from our wedding, etc. The interviewer looked through it all, asked us some questions. then left the room for a few minutes with my wife's Venezuelan passport. When she came back it had the temporary permanent residency stamp.
Since you're really married you shouldn't have any problems. Don't worry about being tricked. If she asks a question and you know the answer then tell her. If you don't know the answer then say so, rather than making something up. The kinds of questions they will ask you are the kind that most couple will be able to answer without thinking about it so don't worry.
Good Luck!

All depends on where you are and sometimes sad to say it depends on the adjudicators mood that day. I know in Mexico they ask simple questions like your spouses birthday and when and where you were married and that is pretty much it. But every country is different. Just pray that you get an ajudicator that is having a good day. Good luck

Which country are you immigrating to?
If it's Canada, you are likely to be treated professionally. Don't worry, just be yourself. If case you feel you are treated unfairly, politely ask to see his/her supervisor (they can't refuse you on this request, it's the law). In the case of rejection, you can always appeal.
But I don't think you need to worry. The immigration officers are mostly very courteous and professional.
No idea about the US.

Bring a lawyer, they can get rude if you are alone. If you have the lawyer with you, your lawyer will let you know if the agent is out of line. As long as your marriage is legit, then you have nothing to worry about, but again dont go without a lawyer otherwise you will be subjected to stupid questions which are based solely on their opinion and not on facts.

I've had a really nice experience with my interviewer he was really nice, but of course, I had a good attitude towards him too.

It will be horrible if you are trying to lie to seek fraudulent benefits; it will be very simple if you are honest and cooperative.
