i think its part of the atmosphere that is created there, and if you belive in something you can alter your body, like when people drink and they act more drunk then they are.

1. The church HAS to be built to have more air flowing ASAP.
2. The people seen the Lord. When I was an innocent child, my father took me to a small church, all the people were just passing out after some kind of praying(?), and the not passing out people helped to lay the people on the floor. And they were NOT passing out, as I remember. All of them were laughing. I guess it was such an utter joy to see the Lord. Only one was crying saying that she was sorry to the Lord. There is one room where you can see everything from the room (It has a BIG glass window) and all these kids just play there and act like this crying and laughing thing is nothing! I was not creeped out, God Power! Somehow I didn't feel afraid, just feel bad for them for being so weird and watch with confusion. I remembered a guy helping a laughing man to lay down, he knocked accidentally at my ankle! I was angry for that only and think "Why did he not apologize?!" But they were busy. lol.

I believe this started with the Toronto blessing in the early 90s, where a Pentecostal church in Toronto Canada was allegedly blessed by the Holy Spririt and given signs including people passing out.
The people who have this experience believe that they are filled with the Holy Spirit which causes them to pass out. and believe it is real, whether it is from God, in the heads of the people who experience it or the work of demons has been a source of much debate amongst Christians ever since
There is definitely evidence in the New Testament in the book of Acts and Paul's letters to support that Christians can have supernatural experiences and gifts as a result of receiving the Holy Spirit e.g. Prophecy, speaking in tongues. However I'm struggling to find biblical evidence to passing out, maybe someone else can correct me on this.
Also when Paul makes reference to the Holy Spirit and gifts he always backs this up with how these gifts should be used for the benefit, what their purpose is and how to determine that it is from God.
Personally, I don't believe that this comes from God but as to whether it comes from man or demonic influence, I'm undecided.
Hope this has been of some help.

lol, I remember my first time seeing people do that. Some people do it foreal, and some people are fake. It's like this overcoming spirit, of either joy or sorrow. I've cried out in church once. I felt God knew a lot of s*** I was going through.

I hate when I am in a church and these types of things happen. I truly believe that 90% of the time these people are just trying to gain attention.

Oddly enough, I learned this one in the Army. When you stand in one place for a long enough time with your knees "locked", it causes a shortage of blood that will eventually make you pass out.
