can i get the flu from someone who just got the flu shot?

Only if they had the flu at the time of the shot. Also, flu shots don't cover all the strains of the flu so the other person could have gotten a different strain. You can't get the flu from a healthy person who just got the flu shot.

If they had the flu when they got the shot, then of course.
