It takes a couple of days for it to go away unless its really bad. Then it may take longer. How to conceal it for now is by using a little coverup or a bandaide. Good Luck

It can take from a couple days to a couple weeks, depends how big, and how much blood was sucked to the surface. Here is a tip to speed the process. Get 2-4 spoons (table size), place them in the freezer, after they are very cold, take 1 out, and using the smooth side, place it on the hickey and glently push in while rotating in a circular motion (small circles). Once the spoon warms (4-6 minutes), place it back in the freezer and get the next cold spoon and repeat the process. The reason for using several spoons, is so a cold one will always be ready. Might not make sense, but try it, what have you got to loose. But depending on the hickey, the process will vary. But it does work.

Lol. It really depends on your skin tone and how deep it is. On a darker skin tone it may not show as well from the start and may fade faster. On lighter skin tones they tend to be very noticeable and last longer. I would say anywhere from 2-14 days. I know that's quite a range, but it's like a bruise. It has to heal. I heard that if you put a cold spoon(cold from puting it in the freezer) on a hickey it will make it go away. But that's probably just a myth.

It can take years as in the case of my girlfriend Deborah Hickey.
It was because of her that I listen to the song, "How can I Miss You if You Don't Go Away".

It runs its course , but to get rid of it fast, put ice or desitin baby ointment on it and it should go away in a couple of days.
