I have that problem too especially when i wake up.
If you get your hair wet and brush it, it's gonna become strait. Your hair is probably very light, the more heavier it is the more strait it is. So your going to want to try to keep your hair heavy and clean, And as for the split ends if your hair is 'usually messy in a way' it's really difficult to get rid of split ends you first need to straiten your hair and then get a hair cut.
You might also have to purchase a type of shampoo cost a bit letes say near $5 to $6 but if your trying to naturaley straiten your hair it's not really easy, but just try to keep your hair heavy and clean. Hair gell might work but when it dries your hair will feel like plastic >_< so just try to keep it wet alot and combed.
Hope that helped. Good luck!!

If you have lots of split ends, you need to get a good haircut to start with. Nothing will heal those split ends. If you don't want to use a iron or go get your hair professionally straightened, the only other way I know is to blow it dry with a large round brush. But with your split ends, blow drying is probably the last thing you want to do. YOu will need to use products that are for designed to help keep your hair straight and sleek.

I do it with my blow dryer. I'm not into too much hair products. So I just use some good leave-in conditioner and blow dry it straight at medium settings. Takes some time, but the end result is pretty good. It does not come out bone straight, the ends remain a bit fluffy. But I like it that way. looks natural. And if the weather is really humid, I use some silicone serum once I'm done.

I even have thick, wavy hair and have given up on attempting to straighten it. Why? because of the fact then it basically looks like a thick, in the present day mass - very boring - and it takes a lot of attempt (blow drying, wax/oil/gel, and so forth.). or you're able to pay plenty for a perm. those days, I went to the hairdresser and she or he put in some layers to function interest and get rid of a few weight. I intensify the waviness now via pinning my towel-dried hair into little "whirls" on my head and then after it dries I straight away artwork in a mild wax to hold the waves and curls. It seems very organic and woman. till you have have been given a lot of time and money this is extra suitable to artwork which include your hair than against it!

Do you have a large barrel curling iron, that's is what my mother has used for years on her very curly hair, it works better than a straighting iron because you can keep a little body / curly to make it look more natural. Its best whatever you use to have an anti-frizz serum to put on it 1st.

you will not be able to get it totally straight witout going to a hair saoln or using a hair iron..but you can straighten it with you hair dryer and a round brush (if you dont have a ound brush than just use a regular one) put ur blowdryer on high heat and high air and take your hair bit buy bit and dry as u brush it...make sure you blow dry it til its almost all dry before you go over it again to straighetn it and but some hair straightening serum in when its still wet before drying

Buy Ogilvie straightener. You can get it at walmart for under 10 bucks and it ACTUALLY works! I use it on my wavy hair and it really straightened it out. I use it once every 6-8 months(my hair grows slow!) to keep my hair straight. Hope this works!

i used to blow dry my hair. what u can do is sit on the floor w/ ur back against the wall. put the blowdryer between ur Knees facing you. this way u can use both hands to control the hair. get a round brush and straighten ur hair with the air on High and Hot. it might get a bit poofy, but it'll be straighter. u can also use a curling iron but try straightening with it for smoothing. good luck
