we go to the same college.. lately we have been having problems and he drinks way too much when we fight. last night he punched a glass window in and practically broke his hand. also, he threatens to kill himself and he also came into my dorm room one night and smashed my fan and threw my bunk bed off. this only happens when hes drunk. how do i stop him from drinking so much??

Tell him that if he doesn't control his anger problems when drinking or even if he doesn't control his drinking that you two should take a break. If he doesn't stop after that then he doesn't deserve to be with u. Easier said than done but what else can u do? If he doesn't care that it is concerning u then it can only get worse.

tell him. he has to find something to do that he likes, but it cant be drinking, because 1) itz addictive and ruins him inside, 2) it makes him behave out of controll, and if he understands the situation, he will act like an adult about it and take care of himself. you should also threaten him that u will leave him when he is sober, if he doesnt stop drinking. you really could be in danger, you have no idea what he may do to u if he gets really out of controll.

If anyone had the magic formula to stop someone else from drinking, it would be considered a miracle. You cannot stop someone from drinking. You can only stop yourself from trying to rescue them, and stop seeing them. End it and stop the insanity. It only gets worse.

Too much drama for me. I would leave him, college is a great place to meet guys, there are so many to choice from.
If you can't leave him. Is there one kind of alcohol that makes him angry? Usually its liquor. If that is the case, tell him he can't drink it when he is with you.

well, what i would do is to sit him down and tell him that you don't like it when he drinks and that he is violent and that if he don't stop that you'll break up with him just tell him the breaking up part because if he really does like you then he will try to stop.

leave him its not worth the drama you are to young and there are plenty of other guys in college don't waste the best years of your life on some jerk
