What makes you think a world would be peaceful without religion? There is no evidence of that. Man has been constantly at war throughout history since he came down out of the trees. War is the nature of man, religion or no religion. What makes you think there isn't plenty of other things to fight about?

so what the questioner is trying to say is that today in the world all the violence we have is because of religion. well, it's not the fault of religions that there's wars. it's the fault of Some People who misuse the peaceful message of religions and use it to make wars. because have u ever heard a religion saying the it's OK to fight? everybody says that wars always bring death and sorrow. so it's not the fault of religions, it's the fault in those Some People who make a misuse out of religions. it's only the a group of people who misdirect other people in wrong direction by the name of religion.
so from next time, don't consider religions faulty for wars, but rather consider the people behind it.

are you really so blind that u do not c that it is profit that causes war. Every single conflict you can name was based on merchant greed. Some were of a religion or so they said. True religious issues are used to inflame people but the religion while it may cause some things u do not like is not a cause for war, and thinking it does shows a real lack of depth on your part.

i wouldn't want either. Religion is important to many people. If we had a world with religion but was violent than what would be the point of religion? What religion are we talking about.

Mere religion isn't good enough! I'd rather have a close and personal RELATIONSHIP with God. That way it wouldn't make a difference if the world had peace or not.
