Your marriage is recongized "only" in the country that married you. Once the U.S. allows it to be recongized, then fine, but until then, only the country you got married in.

I agree with the first two posts. Marriages performed in Mass and New Jersey are not recognized in other states. So I doubt that a Canadian marriage will be. But call a lawyer and ask.

I don't know,probably in those states only, who recognize it here,you see it would be kind of crazy to recognize it from abroad when you want recognize it from state to state.
