My neighbors play loud music til 4 AM. HELP!?

Hi, I need help getting them to turn it down. I already tried talking to them. No luck. The only help is calling the cops, but most of the time they dont come until the music is turned off.

1. The same people do not live there from month to month. It is a drophouse for illegal immigrants from Mexico and always 30+ people living there.

2. I dont have money to take anyone to court, I just want to sleep!

Oh, that sucks!!! I totally feel your pain, as I used to have annoying neighbors who did that too. Do you live in an apartment? If so, you could call and lodge a noise violation complaint and get all of them kicked out. I'm wondering, though- if a bunch of illegals are living there together, don't they get arrested anyway when the cops come, even if the music has been turned off by then? I know that here in Denver they're really cracking down on immigration laws. Here's a suggestion: could you maybe get a friend who speaks Spanish to write them a friendly but firm note to tack on their door? Ooh, I have an idea- I speak Spanish, so I will write it and tell you what it means, and then all you have to do is copy it, OK? Here goes:

Do you live alone?? If so, you need to be careful and protect yourself. I have the same problem. My neighbor below me is a stripper. She is always loud and abnoxious. She brings men in all the time to have sex. I have to hear her screaming and the music is always loud. I am a Law Student and decided to leave her a note that I typed out on my computer. I put on a pair of gloves and delivered it to her door, while she was not at home. I told her that all of the neighbors around here were sick of her noise and nasty behavior. She keeps her windows open, by the way. Leave a note in Spanish, and let them know to keep quite after 10 pm, otherwise they all will be busted. They are all probably illegal immigrants. Talk to your landlord, there is no acceptability for 30 people living in a house. THey will get kicked out. You don't have to move. Keep yourself safe. Good luck.

You dont need money to take someone to court in civil court. All you have to do is make a case, file and show up with your proof.
My solution that worked in a similair situation was to turn on my sound system (it was kickin) and leave it on during the day, all day long while I was at work. They were trying to sleep during the day and recoup from partying all night but couldnt. They then had enough nerve to tell me I was keeping THEM from sleeping!
I told them that if they didnt keep the music down at night, I wouldnt keep the music down during the day. They didnt believe me so we battled for about three days. After that, they got the message and stopped the all night partying and music.
Sometimes a little taste of the their own medicine is what they need.
By the way, try opera stations on the radio or put on one obnoxious song and have it repeat endlessly. That works on the nerves really quick.

Revenge won't work (such as making noise during the day while they are sleeping). If they don't have to get up and go to work they're not gonna be too worried about you making a racket.
Threatening to have the drophouse busted might be dangerous for you (why the hell are the cops not onto this?).

You might try sleeping with earplugs in and have a friend call to wake you up (set the phone close to your head).

I feel sorry for you, don't know why people gotta be such a**holes.
I hope you don't wind up having to move.

Sounds exactly like my mom's neighbors. Glad I don't live there! I feel for u!!! My dad actually got physical with them once!! I suggest u just keep callin the cops. They keep record. They'll eventually get fined or have to go to court. Good luck!

Call Immigration and Naturalization. I think it is now under Homeland Security. They should respond to illegals. They will find another house to use as a drop house.

Wow I feel bad for you, I know exactly how it feels my neighbors dog barks 24/7 and my husband works nights. And these little Chihuahuas bark day and night and to top it off the owner comes home everyday at 4:30 p.m. and honks at the crazy dogs and they bark even "more". So my husband is a little upset but we are embarrassed to tell our neighbor.

Well you can call the immigration office because if what you say is right they can be deported.

Also you can call your local housing or zoning board because 30+ people in the house is illegal.

It's publicly acceptable to play loud music till 9 or 10pm, after that, call the cops. It's your only option.
