It seems many people seem to think that lovers and friends are of opposite quality and it is easier to get intimacy/support from someone of the opposite sex who is just a "friend" than a lover. Is that immature? I find it disturbing.

i am friends with all of my ex-lovers! i think if the person is mature enough then they can remain friends with anyone. its all about how well they can handle their emotions. i talk to some of my ex's all the time! It doesnt bother me at all! My girlfriend doesnt really like it, but she also knows that im a very truthfull person, and would hurt her for nothing!!!

I think you cannot be lovers and friends, because friends don't sleep with friends. But on the other hand lovers going to be lovers not friends. It''s to much confusion.

I fell in love with certainly one of my acquaintances... and besides the shown fact that we did no longer actual initiate a courting, I now experience as though i'm no longer able to be around him anymore. that's no longer infantile in any respect, some all of us is able to stay acquaintances and a few are not. you're precise, in case you stayed in touch it would make it lots extra tricky to bypass on. i don't know why she does not understand, besides the shown fact that that's unhappy that she has to lose you as a chum. i don't know, yet grasp in there. with the help of how, super call. I crave simplicity each so often besides, yet on the completed i think of complexity makes issues extra interesting.
