Disagree - people generally believe god exists, doesn't make it true. People believed communism was a better political system than captialism, doesn't make it true. People in the Heaven's Gate Cult believed that there was a rocket-ship behind the comet Hale-Bopp, doesn't make it true.
Consensus can be found with enough groupthink ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groupthink ). Doesn't mean it's the "truth" on what they decide on.
Truth is a statement that is conclusive with observation. "The sky is blue," "I am a male," etc. "There is a teapot orbiting the sun" is not truth - it might be - but until we can observe such a teapot, it remains as an assertion. Same thing with god - "god exists" is no more "truth" than the teapot was - it's merely an assertion, without substantiated observation. More importantly, the truth is still "out there" even if it can't be observed - maybe god and the teapot really do exist, but we'd never be able to prove it to ourselves without direct observation.

Truth is never the same for all. Consensus is a general agreement of several to agree on somewhat the same thing in some respect for awhile.

No, Truth is usually contrary to consesus of opinion. Opinions are created by idividuals and there are few, if any, people who agree completely on anything. We create opinion by our own unique experiences and thoughts as time goes on.
Truth, to be truth, has to be one and universal. Who argues over such things as whether we need air to breath in order to stay alive?

- If you say that we need oxygen to breath, it is the truth. It doesn't require general consensus for it to be true. Opinion has nothing to do with factual truth.

It is true that the sun will rise tomorrow morning. That is not a consensus. If 51% of people said "Oh no it won't", it wouldn't change anything.

Call me a romantic, but I still believe that truth is an absolute. the majority may not believe it, but 1+1 still equals 2.

Opinion is not Truth and Truth is not always plausible (or what one wants to hear).
We will all die...... Truth.
There is a God.....Opinion.
We could end world hunger if we gave everyone food (the population cap of the world right now is 8 billion and there is only 6 billion here)..........Truth.
Any religion has the Truth.....Opinion.
If everyone would lay down their weapons and agree to not fight we would have world peace .......Truth.

No; truth is reality external to and independent of the human mind. Opinions may be more or less adequate to that reality; how widespread they are is irrelevant.
My evidence: if you jump off the top of a skyscraper, you'll die; your beliefs about gravity or your ability to fly are utterly irrelevant.

no. a few hundred years ago, many people believed the world was only 6,000 years old, and earth was the center of the solar system and universe.
that concensus did not make it so.
