Well it could be a number of things, if it is red and flacky and it itches it could just be jock itch. I have also heard that if your partner, assuming that is a girl, has a yeast infection she could give it to you as well. Another possibilty is a skin allergy, maybe from a soap or some kind of lotion. Your best bet would to just go to the doctor or your nearest health clinic, you don't won't this to get any worse than what it is. And don't feel embarrassed when you call or go in, that is what they are there for and see things like this everyday. Good luck!

The most likely explanation is a fungus infection, either a yeast infection (candida albicans) or "jock itch" (tinea cruris). Both are common, uncomfortable, and easily treated with over-the-counter medication.
However, there may be other conditions that can cause these symptoms, so you should see a doctor for a diagnosis. Chances are good that you'll get a prescription, or possibly just a recommendation for an over-the-counter anti-fungal creme such as Mycelex, Tinactin, or Monistat -- any medication that contains miconazole as its active ingredient. You'll probably get instructions to use the cream for several days; be sure to do this for the ENTIRE time your doctor recommends, as it's necessary to prevent a recurrence of the condition.
In some cases, your doctor may also give you an oral anti-fungal treatment; again, your doctor needs to determine the seriousness of your condition and recommend treatment accordingly.
Don't leave it alone waiting for it to get better, though. The worst thing about a yeast infection for a guy is that once the skin has dried to this condition, it can actually split open if you have an erection. This is VERY uncomfortable (so uncomfortable that you really aren't likely to do anything with it, if you get my drift), and can open you up to secondary infections through the broken skin. So get it looked at and get it treated right away.

If you are really worried about it call your doctor and ask them this question...They should be able to help you over the phone if you don't want to have to go to the doctor..If the doctor think it is something serious they will tell you to come in...Until now if you are sexually active...Please use a condom..Hope someone on here can help you.
