Honestly, I think that is because that is what everyone has always done. I also think we would look weird when we are pushed up against the other person's face. I personally get freaked out if my husband has his eyes open and staring at me kiss him. I much rather close my eyes and get lost in the moment. Good question though! :)

I like to kiss with my eyes open. As long as you don't look straight in to the other's eyes it is actually quite sexy. Otherwise you close them to keep from being cross eyed. Try it though without closing them, just barely look up, it's almost as if your looking at their mouth, that is what makes it hot. Hope I could help.

because it is the same as making love with the lights down low, we don't want to be viewed making expressions that are not normal, like most women want a man to close his eyes while she is performing oral sex on him or at least the lights down low, I have only kissed three women in my whole life and I loved all three of them, kissing I take very personally, now I don't know how many women have gave me oral sex, but kissing is something I remember deeply in my heart, and kissing a women with the thought that those lips have been on another mans penis just freaks me out and I just can't force myself to kiss, because there are some women that will smack a ding ding the first night you meet her so just with that thought in mind turns me off, at least until I know her much better and maybe even fall in love with her

For me the close proxcimity of the other person messes with my eyesight so I have to close my eyes. For other people it is a matter of choice I see alot of people have thier eyes wide open when they kiss.

have you ever looked at something up real close? it looks funny. same thing with a person you kiss somone with your eyes open and it looks like they have one eye. beside wouldnt it be odd that you two are staring at each other while your kissing?

So if the guy opens his eyes he wont see us looking at him like a gold fish with huge eyes. lol And you feel more when you can't see, sorta like you can hear better if you close your eyes.
