Good question!! A "toe" - regardless of whether it's a front or hind foot. I commend you on your use of the word "digit" to ask your question. It's entirely accurate. :)

The bone which holds the claw (ungual process) is called the Distal Phalanges (distal=furthest from body) the rest of the toe is called the Middle Phalanges and Proximal Phalanges (proximal=nearest body). Phalages is the plural and Phalanx is singular.
