If you mean complacent, no. No one in America wants their military to fail, a failed military means many dead young men and women and as far as I remember all Americans support a long life-span for them. If by complicit you mean, are the liberals commiting a crime of some sort, or in collusion with terrorists once again the answer is no. I am shocked to find people bickering back and forth on here about topics involving the deaths of Americans. We're all countrymen here, we're all patriots to a degree. I'm liberal and damn proud to live in America, you're obviously conservative and damn proud to live in America. The only real differences I can see between you and I would be firstly that I would support going about foreign policy in a different manner, and secondly you're content with perpetuating a disgusting, unfounded divide between your own fellow Americans.

ABSOLUTELY. The largest problem we have with the Iraq policy stems from the size of our military, decimated in the 1990s by the liberal/leftist Clinton Administration. With more boots, we could have secured the border and adequately trained security forces in a secure environment. The current size of our military does not effectively promote putting more troops in Iraq due to the operational tempo of unit deployments. We need more troops there but not by sending the same troops over and over and over again. Loosen the purse strings and get our defense capability back to the Reagan era standards!
