ANGELS AMONG US
I was walking home from school on a cold winter day,
Took a shortcut through the woods, and I lost my way.

It was getting late, and I was scared and alone,
But, then a kind old man took my hand and led me home.

And Mama couldn't see him, oh but he was standing there,
And I knew in my heart, he was the answer to my prayers.

Oh, I believe there are angels among us,
Sent down to us from somewhere up above.
They come to you and me in our darkest hours,
To show us how to live,
To teach us how to give,
To guide us with a light of love.
When life held troubled times, and had me down on my knees,
There's always been someone, to come along and comfort me.

A kind word from a stranger, to lend a helping hand,
A phone call from a friend, just to say "I understand."

And ain't it kind of funny that at the dark end of the road,
Someone lights the way with just a single ray of hope.
Oh, I believe there are angels among us,
Sent down to us from somewhere up above.
They come to you and me in our darkest hours,
To show us how to live,
To teach us how to give,
To guide us with a light of love.
They wear so many faces, show up in the strangest places,
To grace us with their mercy, in our time of need.
Oh, I believe there are angels among us,
Sent down to us from somewhere up above.
They come to you and me in our darkest hours,
To show us how to live,
To teach us how to give,
To guide us with a light of love.

On more than one occasion, when I felt I just didn't have the strength to go on, Yes, God sent one of His angels. Sometimes it was a family member who lifted me up ; sometimes it was a friend, and once it was just a passerby who smiled so sweetly, that I saw the LOVE of God in their eyes, and was reminded once again, how much I am loved.

Thank you for this sweet reminder xx

"I was walking home from school on a cold winter day,
Took a shortcut through the woods, and I lost my way.

It was getting late, and I was scared and alone, "

Oh yes, I've done that all right. It provided one of my most memorable ever experiences. No angel, though.

Just a UFO, parallelling my path through the woods.
I was utterly convinced. Doubt wasn't an option.
It was keeping pace with me.
It was only a few trees away.
It wanted me.

Only I was wrong. As I came to the end of the woods, sweating like mad on a cold night, there was a clear view.
What it was, was the moon through a temperature inversion. I would not have believed it could look so different. And no wonder it seemed to be following me.

Taught me this: I can believe something totally, and still be wrong. And seeing is not believing, because interpreting can get in the way.

Actually, I have to say that the line about the old man showing up in the dark woods scared the crap out of me. If it was an old lady, that might be different...although I think if I was lost in the woods ANYONE just randomly showing up would scare the crap out of me.

I can unfortunately respond in the negative.....this has never happened to me. I do beleive - I beleive in the power of love and the power of mankind to overcome obstacles and end suffering on earth.

I do not beleive in angels, Gods or anything else supernatural.

Utter garbage, nothing more.
There are no angels, no fairies, no leprechauns, no pixies.
Do try and learn the difference between reality and make-believe ok?
