Should I have to pay for it, because I am still making payments on it. Also, how much should it cost.

He told me when I started making payments on the car that he would make any necesarry repairs, and he would furnish a loaner car. However, the loaner car he supplied ( a 1987 Ford Taurus) died before I got to even use it. We made no kind of contract on paper, however I believe we made a verbal contract.

You bought a 10 year old car!!! You have to expect to make some repairs.

i have a 99 neon that the rack went out on. the part was only like 175 for a rebuilt complete rack system, and another 100 to have it put in. shouldnt be much differant for yours. also...jessica, dear, an intrepid is a 4 door car...not a truck.

Some states may have a lemon law. If the car is not as good as represented, there is a time frame that the seller will have to reimburse you or fix the vehicle for you. Check with the local D.O.T.

the rack on those is buried behind the engine , dodgeman might have a trick to get them out quick and cheap.

if you bought the car as is, which I'm sure you probably did...it's your bill....if you financed it thru a bank would the bank pay for it????...
