Here is how you cram.
You need to go through your notes and pick out major themes and highlight or create new notes on them. Also go through the text (if the teacher is going to be using that) and go through the headings and bolded areas...hopefully your teacher understands these are important themes.
If you have a textbook, be prepared to answer end of unit/chapter questions.
Finally, go over any homework that you had that was comprehension based.
If your test are essay....walk in with a good idea of an outline for any of those themes in a paper. What would your thesis, topics and support be.
Given all that, you should be fine. Happy finals.

By the end of college I was on a strict pay time play time regime. Depending on how badly I didn't want to study, I would set a timer and study for say 15 minutes, then play video games for 15 minutes. Once I got rolling it was usually pretty easy to keep going and get off the pay play timer.

Start reading your notes or materials!
Glossaries are a great place to study terminology - look in the back of your book.
Try to see what others in your classes are working on and get together in a group. You may be able to brainstorm better.
Try reciting information and formulas outloud, it helps you memorize them

As the essay paper has evolved it has become more demanding with much more emphasis on posing questions which allow candidates to display the higher order skills. Professor Roy Wilkinson of Sheffield University has identified a pyramid of skills which A level examinations try to test.
