As a Muslim- I love Jesus. I think about Jesus, and I respect him as one of the greatest souls who was ever on the Earth. I believe him to be a miracle (birthed by no man)
Do Christians know how much we revere him? We do not worship him, but we believe in him and respect him.
Because I always hear Muslims are anti-christ. And in my heart I know that that is very wrong. What do you think?

This is a response to Mary's daughter.
First of all-the hadiths u posted are beautiful. I will try to do Islam justice with my explanation. Jesus exsists because God said "BE" God created him just by saying so. It took no man's seed to create Jesus. But we believe he is not the son of God "God begot non nor was he begotten".
We believe he was the messiah- come to bring people to GOD- the God who created the universe, the God that allowed Jesus his powers (to heal and to bring life back to the dead)- The gospel that is spoken of in the Quran - is the teachings of Jesus from his own mouth to the people- not what is written down by Paul, and others. Mary to us- is the chosen woman because of her purity- He chose her above the women of all nations. Jesus to us- is not divine- it was God who gave him all gifts, and Jesus is to us- one of the Closest to God, for all eternity. For farther reading- look up in the Quran Sura 3:33-3:50. It deals with Mary (the pure) and the birth of Jesus

You seem to be extraordinary in terms of approaching other religions:
1- Studying them
2- Receptive to the best of their values and ideas
3- With respect
A lot of religion problems would not be if we all did the same, then again, maybe the whole problem with religion is not God, but humans.

Hey, I think that's awesome! I can't say that I have heard that Muslims are "anti-Christ" although perhaps "anti-Christian." But I agree that it's a gift that we all revere Christ and we share that in common. What's more, as a Catholic, I am also glad we share reverence in the Virgin Mary.
I do think that there are some passages and/or beliefs that exist in Islam that point towards the divinity of Jesus (not just that he was a great prophet).
For example, Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith, Hadith 4.506, narrated by Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "When any human being is born, Satan touches him at both sides of the body with his two fingers, except Jesus, the son of Mary, whom Satan tried to touch but failed, for he touched the placenta-cover instead."
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith, Hadith 4.641
Narrated by Said bin Al Musaiyab:
Abu Huraira said, "I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'There is none born among the off-spring of Adam, but Satan touches it. A child therefore, cries loudly at the time of birth because of the touch of Satan, except Mary and her child."
Why are Mary and Jesus spared the touch of sin and not Mohammed, even though the Quran teaches that Mohammed was the greatest prophet?
Also, why were angels sent to announce the birth of Jesus but there is no such story about Mohammed?
Finally, if the Quran is the literal inerrant Word of God, why does it allow for sposal abuse (Surah 4:34)? I do not understand how God would will for the abuse of any of his creations, much less his masterpiece--mankind.
Your reposts would be appreciated! I'm not trying to attack your religion, but I would like to learn more about this, please:)
Also, I feel that I should clarify that I am Catholic--so I share the beliefe that Jesus was untouched by sin, and I also believe the Bible is NOT the inerrant AND literal Word of God, but inspired writings that teach us about God and are best understood with the gift of understanding as given to us by the Holy Spirit.
Thanks for reading! And thanks in advance for your response!

A lot of Christians are ignorant of the respect that Muslims have for Jesus as a prophet. Don't get discouraged though - ironically the awful things going on right now are causing people to learn more about each other. Good luck to you.

I'm glad that you believe in, respect and love Jesus.
From my personal experience talking with Muslims, I have not perceived them being against Christ. The general view of Muslims seems to be that they respect him as a great prophet but not as the Son of God.
You said "I believe him to be a miracle (birthed by no man).
I was wondering, what do you mean by that ? :o)

It isn't enough to respect Jesus. Good deeds get us nowhere. Jewish people believe Jesus was a profit but not the messiah. You have to believe that Jesus is the son of God in order to go to heaven. Unfortunately there will be a lot of people who love and respect Jesus that will be in Hell because they didn't trust in him.

To claim you revere Jesus Christ, but do not worship him, is the same for us Christians as when we say "Mohammed was not a Prophet of God" to you.
Christians believe Jesus Christ to be the Son of God, and a member of the Trinity - God Incarnate.
To demote him to a "prophet," or just a "man," is technically a "blasphemy" in the eyes of Christians - as much of a blasphemy to us as caricatures of "The Prophet" are to you.
Now do you understand?

Thank you for sharing this point about your faith. I wish more Muslim would speak out, like you have. The Muslim faith has been hurt by radicals, as the Christian faith has been hurt also. Respect for one another is a good beginning. God Bless.

I am very pleased that you revere Jesus. I am glad you accept Him as a miracle. But with accepting the saving power of his blood we will continue to have a problem. all lot of good points have been made in the other answers, albeit some a little crudely, but made none the less.
Continue to seek the truth about my Savior Jesus, Please.
