The reason is because, naturally we are attracted to people. We like to go after people who look good to us. What we wind up learning is that we might be friends with somebody for a long time and develop feelings for them that were not that at the beginning because there was no physical attraction. But as we got to know them, they were really great and they started to look better and better to you. And we also find that we might date a person who we thought was hot, but turned out to be a total jerk.
So what I think, is that we learn in the end, that it really is the person that counts, not the looks.

To some people looks does matter, to me looks matter. But it also depends on what the person is like

It is just how the world works.. But everyone has their own tastes, a man you may think is hideous could be cute to another girl.. So that is why their is someone out there for all of us!

Good looks attract but cannot hold on to the person unless the inner qualities are good. Good looks alone are not good enough....
