you are very close to the truth on this one! while satan's presence can be verified in many fashions, washing your car while chewing puppies, not finishing your vegetables, or pushing old people into heavy traffic, we often overlook satans boss. humming is a natural state of panic when a different type of possesion takes over your life. your body will try to communicate to you an urgent message resembling a sixty cycle hum. this often takes the flavour of some song or music that you may be familiar with in order to get you attention. BUT, it is a signal indicating something worse than possesion by Satan. Repossesion of you car by bank managers. people so evil they can don't need you to sign in blood. ink will do. if you find yourself humming, park your car at a neighbors and throw the keys in the river and kneel down and pray...

Humming with your mouth open is a great vocal exercise.
I don't think all those little birds are possessed either.
Most of the people who claim to be possessed - why would Satan want them in the first place?
It all seems highly unlikely - I'm going to go off in a corner and hum for a while and see if anything happens......

Absolutely not. Whistling indicates satanic possession. Humming is simply annoying.

No! To me, humming indicates a good mood! I can't imagine anything negative about humming or whistling. Humming is a bit more subtle so I use it more often when in public.
LOL I just read "Godis"'s answer and it cracked me up.
Give her the best answer. ;o)

No, humming is natural and we should humm if we are not singing. People catch me humming and thinking aloud all the time. It just means youre happy and your spirit is alive, which Satan has absolutely no power to touch.

If that theory were true, then about seven dozen kindergardner's at my son's school would be considered possessed. Which I find rather Ironic since they were humming "Oh Holy Night". Back to the drawing board honey!

The things one learns on Yahoo! Answers. I've been channeling Satan for many, many years, or so it seems. Hm-mm. Hm-mm. Hm-mm.
Bow before me, lest I visit you at night and hum in your ear. Bwhahahaha. Or if you prefer not to bow, give me a hummer instead.

The most important sign: the person is a character in a book, movie, or TV show, and not a real person. If that sign is missing, the person is certainly not possessed.

Never heard of that.
However, if you can twist your head all the way around, that's probably a good indicator.
