would like to point out at this point that it's doubling - that means it's now £10 for short haul but £80 for longhaul

I think its about £5 extra a flight isnt it? Thats not exactly a lot of money in the grand scheme of things.

I think it will be good for UK tourism, and bad for the average family who will hav an extra £200 on top of the price of their hols. I heard it was £40 per person per ticket/seat etc.
But its only UK passenger, the rrest of the world can carry on regardless, what a pointless scheme, just a money maker for our greedy government so they can finance £2million bombs to drop on innocent families by
accident.
Yes it will be cheaper to go through the tunnel to france and fly from there! lol how stupid and ill thought out! So have a day in Paris before you fly!

2 things really.
£10 £20 or £50 isn't going to be a big deal or make that much diffrence to most people, however, it could be the start of bigger things to come.
If the government recognise it's having no affect and the greenies put on more pressure it could become £200-500 per flight, then are more and more people going to start driving to France, Spain and even as far as Turkey?
