The scenario is all too familiar: You feel a tingling on your lip and a small, hard spot that you can't yet see. Sure enough, in a day or two, red blisters appear on your lip. It's another cold sore, probably happening at a bad time, and there's no way to hide it or make it go away quickly.
Cold sores — also called fever blisters — are quite different from canker sores, a condition people sometimes associate them with. Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus, and they're contagious. Canker sores, which aren't contagious, are ulcers that occur in the soft tissues inside your mouth, places where cold sores don't occur.
Cold sores are common. Though you can't cure or prevent cold sores, you can take steps to reduce their frequency and to limit the duration of an occurrence.
Cold sores generally clear up without treatment in seven to 10 days. If you experience frequent bouts, your doctor may prescribe an antiviral medication to treat cold sores. Using a medication may shorten the duration of cold sores and decrease your pain.

I got diagnosed with herpes (type 2) about 3 yrs ago, whilst I was still in college and had a foolish one-night stand. I understand lots of people say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a huge mistake that one time and all of a sudden I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for my entire life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date other men again. After all, who wants to go out with someone who has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/el37p everything improved.
Not only was I able to remove all remnants of the herpes virus from my body in less than three weeks, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everybody in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This system provided me the chance to be happy and experience true love again. Now I hope that I can help others by sharing this story.

Cold sores are caused by a virus, Herpes simplex I (as opposed to genital herpes, caused by Herpes simplex II). There's really nothing that will cure the virus at present; most people simply have to deal with the symptoms. One of the few things I've found that seems to speed up healing is to put ice on the spot for as long as you can stand. This works especially well if you get sores that are in the mouth; it doesn't cure them, but it does seem to trigger some sort of response that starts the area healing.

I've tried all the medications including Blistex and none of them work.
Here's my solution. Once you start to feel one coming on, you'll see little pockets of skin on your lip. They will eventually be filled with liquid which makes the cold sore.
Take a sewing needle, sterilize it with a flame, then split the little pockets. It will not hurt because they are pockets of skin, kinda like regular blisters. Then dab it with peroxide or alcohol with a tissue. Make sure you bad it often to keep then try and prevent them from forming again.
This will prevent the cold sore from ever forming.
p.s. be careful with the water like liquid coming out because it can spread the cold sore.

Well I found that mine are triggered by alcohol consumption and staying out in the sun a lot (exposing my face) so when I go to the beach I put a lot of sun block on my face and wear a hat, and I drink occasionally and it did help a lot, I maybe get them only once or twice a year now when I either have a cold or if I get really upset (I mean major crisis).

A virus called Herpes. There is no cure for it this virus but you can treat the symptoms. When the cold sore goes away, the virus is considered dormant. When it presents itself again, it's usually called a flare up.

Herpes simplex virus is the cause (not the one that causes genital herpes)
I've heard rubbing an aspirin on the cold sore will help clear it up fast.
Avoid kissing you partner if they have new weeping ones.
