It can be, my current boyfriend has 2 kids from a previous relationship - sometimes it's hard. I don't have any kids and I thought that when I did it would be a special experience for both me and the father. Saying that I'm so in love with him, that I couldn't imagine not being with him now, but I know we'll probably have some heated discussions in the future (again!). It also depends on what the ex girlfriend is like - she was a bit of a loopy loo when we 1st started going out - but has quietened down now LOL!!

Im a single dad and for some reason women dont find it as easy as men to deal with the single parent. I only just found a lovely lady whom im getting married too, but it took 9 years. I think women see the soft side of a man who already has children (and many prefer the manly side first in a relationship), if the children dont live with him they can see the cost of keeping the children influencing there future lives. These are just a few of my ideas but they can be overcome its just a case of finding that special lady....but hey isnt that always the hard part?

No, I've been out with two guys who all had kids from a previous relationship... I would beme more worried about the nutter ex's.
You get to my age, which isn't actually that old, and most guys have a history and a couple of kids lurking in the wings.
It's much harder for single mothers as they usually have custody of the kids.

I don't think so, I have several friends that are with men that have children from a previous relationship and they don't have children themselves.
It wouldn't matter to me if someone I liked had a child, its what they are like as a person which is more important,

it depends on the individual really. commitment is a big thing in itself and so's having children. i'd feel a lil preasured if my bf had children and also if i had 2 look after my bf's children, n im sure others would 2 she may not know wat 2 do n freak out its allot 2 ask 2 go into a realationship where the family is already existing it takes time 2 get used 2 just do it bit by bit . if she really loves u she should accept ur children as they r part of u and accept the fact ur children need allot of ur attention. i hope all works out 4 the better!

no as a woman with children its even harder as we,re looked upon as wanting a substitute dad and because our children are always with us its a harder role for a man to take on .Add into that the desire not to have any more children and you've got problems.I always said after my ex i would avoid men with children like the plague because it brought nothing but heartache but that was harsh and i think id just be more inquisitive at the beginning as oppose to ruling it out.
