How does Francis Bacon’s view of the relationship between religion and science compare with Galileos view?

Galileo saw no strict division between religion and science (or at least Scripture and science). Bacon saw the two as separate, but perfectly compatible. Both, of course, refered to science as "philosophy" because it was not until generations later that "science" was considered a separate practice.
