I was seeing this one boy... he thought he had more than a friendship and it got irritating so I dumped him as a friend and whatever else he thought we were becoming. During the time I knew him he gave me things, like his pocketknife, a lighter (inside story), a bracelet, his lucky charm, and a CD which I alreay broke. (oops.... hehee)

I'm not sure whether to give it back or what... I REALLY don't want to see him, but I could give it to his friend whom I'm still friends with. My mom says I should give it back to him face to face but I keep making excuses not to have to see him.

What do you guys think?

Just to clear a couple of things up, he made the CD for me, filled with a bunch of love songs (we're 15 for goodness' sake! well, I'm 16 now... whatever)
He kept pedging his life and love to me, and at first I thought it was just a crush but then he wanted to get more "involved" so I left. It was all I could do!

Well, it's ok that the CD broke...hehee...things happen, and of the items he gave you, he could easily replace it, if he hasn't already. Idk, but I think you should give his stuff back to him yourself. After all, he gave it to you, so you give it back. It seems only right and while it may be a bit uncomfortable, it is character building. Mother knows best...hehee.

When you see him, just say; Hey, here's your stuff back. I could have given it to your friend, but I wanted to be sure you got it all. Oh, and sorry the CD...it had an accident...oops...hehee. Bye...

If he gave it to you like bought it as a gift. . .then absolutely not. A gift is just that, a gift from him to you. . .dont give anything back unless you kinda toke it when you two were together. As girlfriend privaledges you had the right to "take" something and use it but if that is the case then meet up with him face to face give it back say thanks sorry it took so long and leave with a smile so he knows the break up doesnt bother you!

You can always mail it, and avoid seeing him. This will certainly give him the clue that whatever he thought you were to him, you weren't, and you really don't wish to continue to see him either as a friend, or anything else. But, be kind. Enclose a little note, "Hi, thought you probably would like these back.." (and leave it at that....)

Unless they were actual gifts to you (like perhaps the bracelet), you should consider giving them back. Besides, why keep his stuff? It better to give them back and make a clean break face to face for closure. It is the mature way to return his things.

You are not a nice girl. I'm so glad you aren't my friend. You need to give the stuff back to him, and maybe you should apologize for breaking his CD and buy him a new one. You're one of those people who give girls a bad name. Ugh... just like my ex.

You're under no obligation to return anything that was a gift to you, but why would you want to keep these things and be reminded of him every time you see them. Put them in a box and mail it to him; thus no contact and you're not putting your friend in an uncomfortable position.

Do whatever will make it possible for you to sleep at night. He gave you those things...they were gifts, not conditional on friendship.

If you don't want them, I'd find a way to return them (through a friend is fine) rather than toss them.

Don't bother. if you feel like it just mail it all back. It becomes an excuse to see him again. The stuff isn't even that valuable. Well maybe the braclet and the pocket knife.

Uh you should give it back because if you keep it then you are giving him excuses to try to see you. if you are no longer interested in his friendship and you are not trying to use him, then just give him his little stuff back and move on and then he can move on. as long as you hold his stuff, then he thinks he somewhat has a chance.

Yeah I would give it back, but I would give it to your mutual friend to give him because you never know what would happen if you did i face to face....he might cry things might be awkward etc.
