O.k. This probably sounds like a dumb question..and it makes me laugh, but I really do want to know the medical reason for this.
WHY do men pass gas more than women and why does it smell so bad!? I don't get it. i have 3 boys, and the older they get, the worse their gas stinks. My hubby and I can eat the SAME food, and he stinks up the house, and I have no gas. What's the deal? Is it hormonal or something? It can't be diet, when we eat the same things but yet the 2 oldest guys in the house get horrible gas, while the rest of us don't. I don't get it!? I have taken a lot of biology/anatomy/physiology classes and can not recall recall reading anything about this!

Not saying I never fart. I'm saying my hubby and oldest boy farts ALLL the time and it STINKS..worse than mine ever smell, and like 100 times more often. My 10 year old doesn't fart that much and his don't stink so bad, and my 5 year old hardly farts and they hardly ever smell. And yes, I poop..helloo..I'm human.

If you are all eating the same thing, the boys may just have more bacteria in their bowels. Most of the gas comes from the bacteria that eat your rotting food in your bowels. Read the website below. It has alot more indepth information.

well im no doctor ;) but gas usually has alot to do with what you eat, for example if you eat alot of meat then your farts are going to stink and with veggies farts tend to be more airy plus bacteria in your colon have a big part in farts to. personally my wife forces me to use beano.

This could be a digestive problem. Probably, they keep their stomach in starving condition for a long period of time. Consult a specialist. Do not give them meals containing carbohidrates, milk and red meat. Fried -fast-food can cause this uncomfortable condition.
