If your worried that your brain isn't functioning proprerly you need to see a Neuroligist and make sure he's been doing for awhlie and some neuroligists are also Neosurgens which is better. If something is wrong he would probably take an EEG of the brain and start there. I'm a neurology patient so I know the tests and what they do. Tell him what your experiencing and when. put down on paper the time and the day it's occuring and start keeping a log. This will help you as well as help him to determine what's going on. Start getting your family history background together as they will need to determine if it's in the genes. Put down on paper what people have had and how they got it and at what age. They need to know the entire history if you do have a problem. I'm talking from grandparents to counsins, aunt's and uncles. They asked all that with me becuase that's how they find out what's causing it and how it came to start. Good Luck

Normally, DOCTORS do that.

See a doctor, get referred to a specialist, pay a whole lot of money, and they will do some tests.

By the way, if you are able to use a computer and type in this question - there's probably not much wrong with your BRAIN. Perhaps you just feel the need for a Reality Check.

Are you having some symptoms that something is wrong with your brain (seizures, headaches, confusion, dizziness, change in mental status)? Otherwise, no doctor will order a CT scan or MRI to "check" your brain. In addition, your insurance will probably not pay for it, its not a routine thing to have your brain checked if you aren't having any symptoms.

Through an MRI/ Cat Scan, however your doctor must suggest that you need one. There is quite a bit of radiation involved and the brain is a sensitive area. You must have good reason first.
