you do take on the baggage for you have to realize that his debt is now also going to be your debt for bills and pymnts don't dissapear when you get married. You have to have a decent credit to buy a house also. I had excellent credit and my husband had no but concidered bad credit. And depending on where you credit lands in ranking is going to determine the percent of which you get your loan for. SO in the end, i do all the bills to make sure things get paid, and paid on time so now he has great credit and we got a good loan rate on our house.
