oh, there is a such things as possum stew. I live in FL, so people eat gator down here and it is actually served in some restaurants. There is also this little BBQ shed that has some of the best BBQ I've ever tasted and they do Squirrel and Raccoon. I won't touch those animals, too dirty, but they're on the menu and people eat them.

My father used to tell me about eating possum stewed and in a soup. He said it was a greasy meat but quite good he also ate squirrel, snake, frogs gator, any animal that can be hunted he had eaten. He was a real outdoors man he grew up in the depression where you ate what ever was put in front of you.

I recently moved from California (Land of Tofu and Bean Sprouts) to Michigan. And believe me, they'll eat ANYTHING they can catch or hit with a rock out here. Talk about culture shock!

Yes. I'm from Louisiana, and people there make opossum stew. They also eat squirrel, alligator, and turtle.
