I lost weight because it made me so sick to my stomach I couldn't eat. Look here for a lot of good info on Lexapro.

When I was initially prescribed lexapro it was great as far a depression was concerned because I went from crying at the drop of a dime to not feeling anything. I also initially lost about 5lbs. However, after two months I gained 20 lbs. BTW, I did NOT change my eating habits during that time. I continued on it for about another 7 months and gained a total of 40 lbs. Needless to say, I took myself off of it. This was my personal choice. I am not telling you to do the same. I have an appointment with my Dr. next week to discuss switching me to Wellbutrin which supposedly has a side effect of weight loss.
