Seven years ago I had back surgery, I need to wear protection at night (diapers). I was just wondering how many people find this too weird to handle if you were dating someone with this kind of condition. Please don't say go to the doctor, I've already been there.

I'm 32 and my self esteem is fine, It's just a little embarassing to tell someone this.

I think you just need to be open with them before you spend the night. I had a friend who hurt himself parachuting who had a similar problem. It is what it is. Hopefully you can find someone who can get past that.

First, I would love to ask how old you are. Are you an older gentleman or a younger gentleman. Everyone is giving such generic answers. Love you for who you are, it shouldn’t matter. All of that is true but I would have to know more information if I were to get involved with you. Would it affect you any other way, as far as being a good husband or boyfriend? Is this something that makes you have low self esteem, because if so than that creates another issue? In an over all aspect no, it wouldn’t be weird just as long as you understand that there is nothing you can do about it and are okay with it being a part of you. I could not get in a relationship where I constantly have to try to have someone understand that I love them just the way they are no matter what. You be okay with how you are and have confidence and so will the other person you are with.

Ok I will be honest that would be weird...however if you and I were very interested in each other and you got to a point where you would let me know about this "problem" before I had to find out on my own I would really appreciate it. And if its something you discuss and bring out to the table right from the start I dont see why people should find this weird. I mean from the way you explain things its not like you can help it, so it just a take it or leave it kind of thing. If the person likes you for who you are then that kind of "inconvenience" should not matter.

well if it was because of back surgery that is not your fault and you don't have any control over it. Most people would probably be a little weirded out at first but if you explained the situation I'm sure they could adjust...although you never know there are some weird people out there with some kinky fetishes so you might even find a girl who was turned on by it.

For me, I am a 24 yr. old female, that would be a little weird for me. I would feel a little uncomfortable knowing you had to wear a diaper to bed and i was sleeping next to someone who could let their stuff out at anytime......i personally would find it a little weird.

Nah, diapers are cool man. I bet in a few years everyone will be wearing them. Just imagine how convenient it will be instead of going to the bathroom.

For some it will be, but if the person you are involved with truly loves you, they will accept this medical condition and move on. I know that I would not have a problem with it, if I were the one you were dating.

Well, it wouldn't be that bad. That is as long as the other person knows upfront. Love isn't based on those kind of things.
