There's obviously a trust issue. Me personally, I would never spy on my family. The only time I'd spy on my family is if I knew they were in danger. If there's no reason to do so, DON'T do it. It could cause bad friction in your family.

Parents have this right.
As children get older and prove themselves trustworthy, parents should show respect by spying less. But, since parents are responsible for the child's well-being, they need to know what is going on.
Myself, I think I was too trusting of my daughter, to her detriment.

Depends on the circumstances if the mother thinks the child is in danger then yes they should but they should try talking to there child first. If it is the mother being noisy then that is wrong they need space and independent and most children will talk to there mother when they are ready.

Sky Hello,
When my children were younger and they went to the park on their own for the first time, I admit to checking on them when they didn't know. Mums are like sheep dogs. We like everyone safe and together. However we also know that for the good health of the children we must let go. But we still worry and we still give in now and again to feelings of protection and a touch of mad cow disease.

I could careless about what my family members are up to these days. I know this might sound selfish, but I care about what I'm doing and don't focus and worry about what everyone else is doing-especially my family.
