Monkeys don't get slapped back for expressing themselves honestly...or if they do, there's no "grudge factor" later. They don't have to worry about being emotionally "trapped" and mentally manipulated...
Once burned, PERMANENTLY shy is the rule here.
I'll tell you what...
...the day women offer a (REAL) peace treaty to men (as a whole) agreeing that they WON'T use our expressions/feelings/emotions - as a weapon - against us you'll get more shared feelings from us.
Deal?

Many, if not most men, are not good about expressing their emotions. Why? They've been taught to repress them. They also are not good at even identifying their emotions -- if you asked them, 'What are you feeling right now?" and you weren't talking about sports or sex, most guys couldn't answer you.
But if someone sits there while another person is bawling their eyes out, that's beyond normal behavior. Normal human compassion would make 90% of all people want to comfort another person. Heck, not long ago someone I didn't even like was crying and because I was the only person there, I went over and put my arms around them and gave them a shoulder to cry on. So if I can do that for someone I don't like very much, I can certainly do that for my spouse. I can't imagine not doing that for my spouse. In fact, it's absolutely abnormal to watch tv while your wife is sobbing.
It sounds like he's someone who is lacking in any emotion and doesn't want to be bothered with human reality. You're better off without him. You can find someone who doesn't have a stone in place of a heart.

Well, I cant speak for your ex, but I can give a little insight. I was raised "men don't cry." Rigth or wrong, that's how it is. I really wish I wasn't. It makes things more difficult when you are in a relationship. So, no, it is not just your ex. When I went through my divorce, I was cold to the entire situation. I shared no feelings and no emotion. Now I wish I felt it was ok to talk about how I felt.
I do think most guys are like this because of how they were raised. But I do see that changing. My brother is raising his son to express his feelings, to open up and talk. Hope this helps some.

Its actual that maximum cruelty in direction of animals is inflicted by using adult males. that's a actuality, yet myself I haven't any time for cruelty to animals, i might prefer to verify animal abusers achieved because of the fact they are sadists and that they haven't any humanity and what makes issues worse is that there is not sufficient regulation to end them, yet I sign petitions on care 2 each night against animal cruelty. I additionally understand what its like once you study some thing merciless and it factors a terrible transforming into unwell feeling on your abdomen. Animal abusers could be placed to loss of existence. I cant watch video clips of cruelty, yet its complicated to circumvent some issues like requests for help from peta. besides the fact that i blame adult males for committing cruelty i additionally blame there different halves and girlfriends who shouldn't even communicate to such evil adult males. i does not injury an animal if i became into presented as lots funds as i wanted and that i think of a brilliant number of ladies folk might understand how i think yet i additionally ask your self why possibility loose fellers like me are much less oftentimes used with women folk than sadists who injury animals.issues like that make me think of that adult males and ladies folk are 2 aspects of the same rotten coin.

Most men are just not emotional. To us you look silly getting upset over things especially since getting upset solves nothing. I would rather focus on solving the problem over dwelling on how it makes me feel.

Um, I think it's cause he's your EX. He's probably mad at you for not being with him, and so he doesn't think he needs to be nice. It's not the right thing to do, but it is not uncommon.
