I am not sure if it's the same thing that you are talking about,but I have used puva therapy for severe psoriasis with a lot of sucess.The dermatologist uses UV rays(they have a tanning booth in the office) to help lessen psoriasis.Ususally what they do is give you medication beforehand,either a cream to rub on or pills that helps your skin absorb more ofthe UV rays.Then you stand in the tanning booth.Usually you go 3 times a week and they increase the time in the booth by a few seconds each time,so as not to burn you.Some people use regular tanning beds instead of seeing a doctor,but I don't recommend this,since the doctor's office booth is regulated and UV rays are VERY dangerous if used for long periods of time.But it helped lessen my psoriasis symptoms a lot.
