Boil some pasta, drain, but keep some tablespoons of the water. Add a little butter, a lot of grated Parmesan, some fresh basil, some chopped black olives and grind a little pepper. Heat carefully until the cheese melts.

Toasted crumpets topped with butter and cheese. The cheese melts into the holes in the crumpet, making a most glorious, moreish and warming snack!
Best sampled in front of a log fire with mulled wine or cocoa or hot, sweet tea.

100g macaroni

vegetarian worcestershire sauce (optional)

Cook the macaroni by boiling it in salted water for 15 mins (or follow guidelines on packet). Then drain and cover the bottom of the pan with soya milk. Got a can of biscuits handy? Make quick monkey bread by taking the raw biscuit, rolling into a ball, roll in melted butter and then sugar/cinnamon mix. Pile in a loaf pan, bake at 400 for about 12-15 minutes. Goes GREAT with hot cocoa or tea.
