When I was a teenager working for a pizza joint, there was this cross-eyed boy who worked with me. He was a delivery boy. I am wondering how he could drive. Maybe he sees normally?

Generally, whenever someone has focus problems...either being cross-eyed or eyes that point outward...one eye is dominant, and the brain (more or less) tunes out the other eye.

If he is cross eyed, he doesn't see normally. You, using both eyes together, have the ability to see 3 dimensional. With crossed eyes, the brain can not put the 'views' together to see 3D. He would look through one eye at a time. This is called monoscopic
vision.
