I think for the most part its true its just that you don't appreciate it when you are going through stuff. But there are cases where stuff leaves you 'weaker' . Thats the time when you seek professional help counsellors etc. until you get to the point where you are ''stronger''.

I believe that what doesnt kill you can make you stronger. However, I don't believe that everyone does become stronger through very difficult situations without the right kind of help. I believe that some people need extra help in finding this strength during extreme circumstances. For example, if an individual was a witness to a horrible murder scene, I believe it would be extremely difficult to find strength under such circumstances. For example, an individual who experiences a horrible tragedy in their life, and resorts to the ultimate sacrifice has not become stronger. However, with the right kind of help, I believe that this person could have become stronger through this situation.

No, not always. Look at Superman. The accident didn't kill him but he was definitely weaker, physically. I know you could say he was stronger in other ways, but was he? Look at the Pittsburgh Quarterback, he is definitely weaker physically, and probably mentally since his motorcycle wreck.
Now I agree, going through tough times gives you experience and the knowledge that "I got through this". But I really believe this is an over simplified way of viewing adversity.
My divorce didn't kill me , but am I stronger, no. I'm disillusioned. My Dad dying almost one year to the day after my divorce didn't kill me, but am I stronger. No I miss him and have regrets for things unsaid.
Positive can come from negatives, but as an overall rule of nature, no sometimes that which doesn't kill us wounds us for life and we just learn to live with the scars

no longer for all cases. enable me grant you with 2 examples. I went by a foul divorce many years in the past, it did not kill me even with the undeniable fact that it did make me a extra perfect, more beneficial individual now that i have been by that adventure. Now, the following is an party of why the word doesn't continually paintings. a pal receives in a terrible vehicle coincidence, yet isn't killed. even with the undeniable fact that, his mind became seriously damaged. as a results of mind damage, he's now an invalid. He won't be able to preserve himself to even use the bathroom nor can he even efficiently talk. After a at the same time as, his spouse left him and his kinfolk won't be able to undergo to work out him anymore. i'd say that the vehicle coincidence did not make him more beneficial if so, it ruined his life.

It's true most of the time. There are exceptions though. For example if your partner cheats on you you'll be deeply hurt. It'll make you stronger in a way because you'll be more careful with the next partner, however it can also completely ruin your trust in upcoming relationships and sabotage them right from the start.

I think that's the new version of "you learn more from your mistakes in life than from expierence". Because mistakes and bad judgement can make you feel like your gonna die, but you survive.....and learn a great lesson in the process.

With the exception of mild food poisoning of course....... it leaves you weak in the knees for a day or two at least.
