If we had a terrorist attack in America now, there would be failure in Iraq.
But since it is keeping us safe, I call it a success!

No because dominating authoritarians never concede. They always think they're right and anyone who opposes their view is wrong. Read " Conservatives Without Conscience" by John W. Dean to find out more about the authoritarian attitude of the Republicans who pushed for this war and the tactics they used to get us into this situation. If the Republicans back down now they'd be admitting to their wrong-doing and would be exposed to further scrutiny. These authoritarian conservatives and their blind authoritarian followers do not like their errors and failures pointed out to them.
Furthermore, the situation may not get better whether we stay or not. Like Vietnam, nothing will be accomplished by staying there. It would be better for the country to cut its losses and bring the troops that are still alive back. No one is criticizing the troops. The criticism is aimed at the fallacies that led to the war and the creators of those fallacies- the authoritarian conservatives.
Surely, Iraq is better off without Saddam Hussein as their dictator and he has been found guilty of killing 148 Shias. Did this have anything to do with us? I thought that the purpose of catching him was to prevent him from nuking the US. Or were there other purposes that weren't disclosed to the public? After all, this administration is notorious for their secrecy.

Why do people blame Bush??? Cant someone blame Clinton and all of the other presidents before us that were warnings in the first place. He is just an easy target. We set the foundation for this government and I dont know if anyone knows this but all the President of the United States does... or his job is to present a bill to be passed. He doesnt have the final say if something will be passed or not. Hello????? He is just the puppet for the US but ultimately we as citizens have alot of say into what happens with war, politics, schools, jobs and if we have a desperate need for the gas prices to go up there IS a reason for that. Why is it the Bush Administration being blamed for things that have been happening for decades??? Because 9/11 happened, who gets blamed for that??? Bush does. I feel sorry for the guy personally. He is not well liked and all people do is complain and dont do a damn thing about it. If I could vote for him again I WOULD. I think he is doing the best he can with the resources he has. Why do people complain about the men and women serving overseas??? Hello??? They signed up to be in the military didnt they? Obviously, they want to fight and kick @** for the US. You know, those lil things you call rights and freedoms.

Is it "prudent leadership" to admit so?...in the long of things...will admitting to it prove beneficial to the American People's Image?...
From where I see this issue stand...as noble and right as it is to admit one's mistake...i would say "no" to publicly admitting this if you are "THE President of the USA right now" unless you want to run the risk of letting a global opinion solidify to a fact on what "Americans" are percieved to be and cause chinks that could prove to the disadvantage the country they are heading.
Sad but TRUE that a president does embody the image of the people he represents but that is the burden of leadership to which he swore an oath to...at best they shout just take the fifth on it and re-focus their initiatives and policies...
ADMITTING TO IT PUBLICLY WILL NOT SERVE THE BETTER INTEREST OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE as part of a GLOBAL SOCIETY given the recent development of events...and because the society of the world has a funny way of handling the TRUTH...don't you think so?

Well, the left refuses to admit that multicultural diversity is the biggest failure in the history of Western Civilization. When Iraq runs that long, get back to us.

@ Dodgerblue,a hooker has extra morals than Bush and his acquaintances will ever have. you have have been given to be f*cking kidding me in case you assert in any different case Bush is definitely one of,if no longer, the worst president in American historical past. that's f*cking disgusting that folk nevertheless think of he's super like certainly one of my pal's acquaintances. once I heard that, i replaced into in basic terms bowled over? What individual of their precise techniques might say that Bush is "no longer so undesirable". The economic device is in a disaster He did no longer even care approximately New Orleans 8 million all of us is unemployed on the edge of 50 million human beings have not have been given any healthcare, and people who do have crap healthcare because of fact the businesses might extremely make revenue than save lives all of us is going to lose their properties The war has placed American in 1000000000000 dollor deficit you know what i think of Bush does interior the workplace. sit down around and play with toys. i actually think of he does. And he truly is stupid and that i do no longer advise stupid like say if Kerry replaced into president, and he handed a regulation that all of us might say, "Oh what's he stupid or something. That replaced into so dumb". No I advise Bush lacks the techniques skill to do something clever. the only profession he might have after his term in workplace is being a comedian. He can tell redneck jokes

Well...
As horrible as this may sound...
Would an apology make you feel any better if someone killed your loved ones and cost you money and changed the lives of the entire population of the world?
Why should they bother at this point. It wouldn't make a Gawd damned bit of difference would it? Except to possibly take responsability and end it... but then that would mean a sacrifice on the part of an entity that is not at all used to sacrificing anything of themselves but the people who back them and support them.
We are all nothing more than cogs in a massive machine... Why would a machine apologize to its parts for using them to run it?

What Bush and his administration will do is 'stay the course' just long enough to cause the complete collapse of Iraq and the death of several thousand more soldiers then hand the mess over to the new administration and point their collective fingers at them.

because President Bush is not limited to the TV news for information about what is going on in Iraq. As a result he has a much better picture of what is going on there than you do.
And sadly - if you would listen to what the people who have actually been in Iraq are saying - you would get the same picture he is.
But - you seem to want us to be defeated.

I don't think that this administration will ever admit that it was wrong. I believe that Bush still thinks that he is right and that we are crazy for not believing in him. I have no idea how this administration will end but I hope that it doesn't get any worse than it already is.

Not a chance in a million. But, like father like son ... the 1991 Gulf War cost the RePUBICans the election, and with luck, the Dems will get back in in '08 and attempt to straighten out this mess ... but with all the graft and corrpution, it seems unlikely.
