And how old will you be in two years if you don't go for it?

It is never to late to get your GED. In fact, once you do you may see an increase in your job opportunities and a chance for higher earnings. I dropped out my last year, went to night school the first half and dropped the second half. As soon as I turned 18 I took the GED. I graduated before anyone else in my class and scored in the top 10%. It took me years and years but I finally finished my bachelor's degree. And with that I immediately saw a $5,000 salary increase. Now, after 6 years, I'm earning $15,000 more per year than if I hadn't gotten my degree.

Basically, that piece of paper tells the world you know how to read, write, and do math. It also shows that you have decipline and determination to see something through to the end. Without it, it's only your word that says you can do all that.

Do yourself a giant favor. Get your GED now. You'll only regret it later in life if you don't. Think of it this way: It could cost you 100's of 1,000's of dollars if you don't get it.

Actually you are not even too old to get a high school diploma which is better than getting a GED. Just look up evening high school & saturday school. If you think taking the GED is easier than go ahead.

I'm 59 and at 24 I might have thought it was too old. But now I'm considering going for a Bachelor's Degree after I retire at 60, next year. It's NEVER too late for more education. A phrase from the ' 70's, Go For It!
