I'm worried that my yellow lab isn't getting tired of me kicking the ball around and him fetching it and bringing it back. I usually throw the frisbee once in a awhile. I'm just looking for a new, unique play-time activity to do with my dog (lab). Any suggestions?

I give my dog a plastic pop bottle that has no lid and no stcker on it. they love the noise when they bite it and it keeps my dog busy for hours. I have not seen a dog yet that doesn't love them. You can play fetch or just let them have at it. It's a cheap but very effective toy.

Spend time with him, teach him some tricks, like sit, stay, lie down, play dead, shake....ect (use hand signals as well as verbal commands while training) Labs love water, so if possible, take him swimming, or play in the hose water.

Lots of dogs like to play tug-o-war. "Kongs" (available at pet supply stores) are great, too. Mom puts cheese or peanut butter in her dog's Kong and it keeps him entertained for hours. Some dogs even enjoy watching television, such as my daughter's dog. If your lab is smart and sociable, you could see about training as a therapy dog or for field trials if he is particularly agile. You'll have to experiment and determine what works for your dog. They're as individual as we are and he/she will have preferences for one activity or another the same as you would.

Take him to a playground so he can run up the stairs to the slide and run down.

My lab loves it. Plus it's great if there a kids around. She loves all the attention!

Any interaction with your dog is good. Taking him for walks in different areas will keep him interested. Dogs love new adventures!!!

have someone hold your dog, then you go hide, then he finds you. it sharpens his finding skills, therefore making him smarter.

or you could hid treats around the house and yard for him to find - good idea to keep him occupied when he is alone
