I just bought some new editing software for my computer and I LOVE it. It is awesome. but when I get on there and statr putting backgrounds and effects and frames and such it won't let me print it on the computer because it says that my printer doesn't support that. or something like that, it says that it can't support the printing funtion. does this mean I need a new printer or is there something I can use like a plug in or something.I would hate to think I couldn't do anything with them.I am trying to get a portfolio going and I plan on making slideshows and putting them on discs but I would like to print them as well. any advice?
Thanx

More than likely you need to update the printer driver. Go to the website of your printer manufacturer and search the "Downloads and support" section for an updated driver you can down load and install. Most will come with a self installer but if you have to do it yourself I cna help you with that. Contact me at writersk on aol and I'll help you. Also you might want to check the editing software's website for any updates. they might have a bug in their software causing this to happen. Go to their website and search the "Downloads and support" as well. You might find a hotifx there.

You didn' t mention which printer or which editting software, but my suggestion is to see if there is a newer printer driver you can download from the printer manufacturer's web site.
