Can DVDs be used interactively ie for games with a DVD player?Or is that technology only for cd-rom n bluray?

I wondering if there are any DVDs that are used as games/educational material interactively straight to your TV like stuff you buy that is downloaded to your computer, or the new bluray systems. Thanks. R.

Sure, there are games like that currently on the market (with DVDs) Things where you see a clip from a movie and have to name it, etc.

Currently HD-DVD and BluRay are fighting for acceptance as the next generation standard to replace DVD, but nobody knows which one will win, and which one will go the way of Beta tapes when VHS became widely accepted.
