When do you call your gf by her first name and when do you use pet names when addressing her? I ask this because my guy never uses my first name when addressing me, he always says pumpkin or baby. Atleast he did until recently. He left me an offline message and he said "I miss you_____"..using my name instead. Maybe I am over reacting and over analyzing it, but I wonder if there is something behind this? My son laughed at me and said females always think the worst, while most of the time the poor guy thinks everything is normal and ok . What do you guys say on this matter? THanks guys in advance.

I think you are way over analyzing this. Maybe by using your name he was trying to sound more sincere or serious. Maybe he just wanted to say your name. Quit thinking so much and enjoy the fact that you have a great guy.

confusing but I understand. A good player will use this as a common name for all his girls. Less chances of being caught, but a real genuine guy will use the same pet names because its his way of being affectionate. Using your name is just his way of maybe reminding you that he hasnt forgoten who (you) are. I say if you have a concern you should ask him.

it makes it easier to use nicknames because then we don't have to worry about which lady we are spending time with. We can't mess up if we give them all the same nickname. Hope this helps you, baby!

hey its quite common thing. usually a guy calls his gf with some pet name or something which is attractive.And infact there is a feeling and love hiddedn in these names.So u just feel it! .....almaas1974@gmail.com

my ex fiancee always said whenever i called her by her first name i was angry with her!
i think it was more to do with me gettting my point across...i thought she may pay more attention if i sounded like her parents..
i would not read too much into it....
