If I'm on the computer too long, he sits in my lap and paws me. When I'm on the phone, he nudges the phone. When I give too much attention to my dogs, he flips out and goes nuts.

Lol! My cat gives me kisses in the middle of the night when she wants to get under the covers cuz she is cold. During the day to get my attention she meows so her curtains and blinds can be opened for her viewing pleasure.lol..Has a fit if she can see the bottom of her food dish-at that point i can't do nething until she is taken care of. If the mail comes and we haven't gotten it yet she throws the biggest fit. Gets mad if she cant go to the mail box with me-she ain't spoiled or anything..lol..heaven forbid if one of use steps outside w/o her..She thinks she is dying!..lol..If she knows I or my hubby shoudl be home soon she will start meowing until one of us get home....And since the tree is up for the holidays..she is not allowed in the office unless one of us is in here with her..-she will sit and meow at the door or u until you go in with her..She is spoiled rotten so that every time one of us goes to the bathroom she has to go too so she can drink from the faucet .. and heaven forbid if you take a shower and she was wanting to play in the tub..Talk about the evil eye..lol.. No matter I love her regardless..

If I'm sitting in a chair watching tv, my one cat will come up behind me and paw at my back (kind of like a kitty massage!)... or sit by my feet and scream "MEOW!" at me for attention. Or she'll just jump on me (and she's tipping the scales at about 18 pounds!).
My other cat will lay/walk on whatever I'm doing (reading, on the computer, writing, etc). If I have company over, she will jump on the table, walk completely around it, jump off, and repeat until she gets cheese or a hot dog. When she wants to be fed, Tabitha will cup her paw over the top of the base cupboard door, pull it back and let go... making a wonderfully annoying bang, bang, bang until she gets what she wants.
Gotta love those kitties!! :-)

My cat doesn't do this so much for attention...
We have two cats... one is an indoor princess (even though he's a boy) and the other's the indoor-outdoor "riff-raff" (hence his name.)
Whenever Riff-Raff stays out at night (which isn't very often) Autumn Morgan will get in the bed with me, sleep as close to my face as possible, and nudge me periodically. If I roll over, he gets up and moves with my face.
However, this usually means his food bowl is empty.

when my maine coon wants attention, he will tap me on the shoulder. if that doesn't do the trick, he will start the feline 500--run around the house as if he were shot. if that doesn't work--he will knock something over--usually water--then he has my full attention.
if he just wants to play, he will make a whiney sounding meow from some remote place.
kitties find ways of gaining your attention--not all of those ways are acptable--reinforce the positive and do not react to the negative--it helps. good luck.
oh-he also likes to bite my ankles in thanks for something--i have to wear uggs all the time

My cat gets to my eye level and pulls my chin to her so she can "kiss" me. No matter where I am, if she wants my attention, she will find a way to get it. If I am on the computer or laying down, she will lay on my chest and purr, make "biscuts" and nibble on my chin or ear. She also, gives me "hugs" by putting one paw on either side of my neck and lay her head on my shoulder. I love my cat, shes a totally mama's girl. I really dont see how some people hate them. They have to find the right one...

Occasionally (usually when the food dish is empty late at night) my fluffy grey cat will "kill a sock" - that is, she finds a sock, carries it around in her mouth, and meows at the same time. It's a very odd-sounding meow, since there's a sock in her mouth! Sounds like "mwow-wow" and she repeats this meow MANY times if I don't get up and take the sock away from her.
It could be pretty funny if I weren't trying to sleep when she does this! ;)

If I'm on my laptop in bed, my cat comes and crawls between me and the computer or lays down across the keyboard. She likes to send her own IM's to my friends, too.

One makes sure she walks all over whatever I'm doing. One meows loudly till I do what he wants. One rubs around my legs and the last one just sits in front of me giving me the blank stare. Actually, she's the one that gets to me the most. That stare just kills me!

Doodle Bug climbs on my shoulder when I'm on the couch and pokes my cheek
Buddy Buddy Boo Boo Head (don't ask) licks my nose when I'm sleeping till I wake up.
Baby will untie my shoelaces if she wants me to sit down and cuddle.

about 8pm (when the younger boys go to bed) Cuddles will zoom back and forth through the family room to the dining room, to the front room and back! She's so excited that things have calmed down, that she goes totally ballistic!
