All of these Oh hey your religon is stupid, no yours is stupid, no your, no yours. Man!!! SHUT UP!!! Look, how about this, just believe in whatever it is you believe in and shut up about it. If people would stop preaching that their religon is the best and this and that all of the other crap would just disappear. Just believe what you believe and go on about your business. No one cares what anyone else believes in anyways. Do you honestly think that if you start talking about oh my religon this and my religon that, that anyone is going to care? No one cares. So, just do your thing, believe in whatever or whoever you believe in and leave the rest of us alone to believe in whatever we believe in.

A lot of you are saying, " Then why are you in the Religon section of the forum?" That is the basis of my question that is why. I am simply saying that all of the religon bashing is ridiculous. Why can't each person just believe in what they believe in and not discuss it. Why does everyone have to stand on their soap box. Why can't someone say ok, I believe in this, and that be it. Why must there be any discussion about it? Just do your thing and thats it. If you are part of a group of people that believe the same thing that you do called, (a church), thats great. Go to your church and you can all believe what you believe in. Keep in your group though. Why all the pushing of this and that. Its ridiculous. I am not saying don't be religous I am simply saying keep it to yourself or your church. Why do you have to try and spread onto people who aren't interested in hearing it?

It's called the spirit of debate and the search for the truth. If you can't deal with it, why are you hanging out in the Religion and Spirituality section?

Know what you believe Is what I do and I dont debate with people I share with anybody that has an ear to hear.A person Is wasteing there time In debate,I look at there walk and not there talk because that will be a light In darkness and you can sometimes speak more In silemce then you can by speaking.

That's a fine position to take - until you're the one that someone else's religion is persecuting. If people merely left people alone, I'd tell them to go believe whatever they believe to - except they don't.
Christians decide that homosexuality is "wrong", so they politically block homosexuals from marrying. They think a clump of cells is a "human", so they politcally block stem-cell research. They believe in "an eye for an eye", so they beleive in the death penalty. They believe that we "came from god", so they want to include intelligent design in schools. They don't believe in pre-martial sex, so they don't believe in sending condoms to Africa to stop the spread of AIDS.
Apparently fighting the religion itself is the way to go about it. The reest of us are tired of hearing yet another part of our social fabric of society ruined by ideas that were prominent 2,000 years ago.

Religious debate is rather the point of this forum.
For whatever it is worth, I agree with your premise, but it will never happen. The best we can do is keep open dialog in hopes of promoting understanding.
It doesn't always work, as people take their faith very seriously and very personally.

Mights just as well close this category down then.
But there are sincere questions on faith here. We just have to weed through the "my God's bigger than your God" attitudes.
In the meantime, this is a great place to bring understanding to those with good questions.

Perhaps asking a question as opposed to preaching would be helpful.
ie following the guidlines of this forum. That would go for you and those you preach against.
