I have a couple questions:
1)How many of you know someone ( or yourselves) have gotten pregnant on the pill?~ I got pregnant on the pill, but I ended up losing the baby, because of complications due to the pill.
2) When said person became pregnant. HAd they missed a pill ( or 2) or been taking them faithfully? ~ I had never missed a day. It's only 98% effective...nothing other than not having sex is 100%.
3) When you started the pill, did your period become light ( very light - light) Or was your flow normal ( prior to using the pill) ~ My period was light at first, some months it was heavy...now it is back to light.
Sorry that I couldn't be more helpful, if you think that you might be pregnant, take a test, and stop taking your pills. Congrats if you are pregnant!

Hello!
1) I was on the pill and got pregnant with my second child.
2) I was taking the pill faithfully. I never missed a day. I even took it at the same time every morning.
3) Before I started the pill, it was a normal period. After taking the pill, it became a little lighter but not a whole not.
I wish you the best of luck.

1. I have 2 friends who got pregnant while on the pill.
2. One friend had missed a couple of pills, and the other didn't miss any.
3. My period on the pill was about the same flow wise, but went from 7 days to 5 days.

Hi I just came back from planned parenthood the other day. I am going to start taking the pill again and they gave me a paper about the pill.
For every 100 women who use the pill, about eight will become pregnant the first year. It says that you will have more normal periods ,fewer menstrual cramps, and less blood loss.
When you should call your doctor is when you have no period after having a period every month. I hope I helped.

My neice became pregnant on the pill when she took antibiotics for a sinus infection. Antibiotics will reduce the effectiveness of the pill. When I was on the pill, my flow did not change but I did "breakthrough" bleed sometimes.

You can skip your placebo week, but be very aware that there is NO guarantee that it will stop your period. For some users, it causes bleeding the ENTIRE pack after skipping the placebos, for some it's a few days of spotting, and for some it's the entire last week of the second pack. I'd recommend packing supplies just in case.
