hi,
i just bought a new IPod 5th generation with video,
first i had the new itunes , so i didn't install it again,
then when i connected the ipod to the laptop, it didn't ask for serial code like the original one did.
then i followed the instructions, afterwards i tried to sync my songs to the Ipod but itunes stoped responding after a few seconds.
i tried again , and the same thing happened again, each time after about 5 seconds. i tried again only this time i ejected the ipod instantly. then i saw that itunes didn't stop responding without the iPod.it also automatically updates the ipod.
i have 4900 song on the library.
please help.
what do i do?

Don't worry. Just go back to itunes and dl and install the latest software. Then when you connect your new ipod, register it on your computer. This is probably the step you missed. Your library should be fine but if you can, back it up now for future safety.

There is an 800 number on your warranty card Call Apple customer service and they will help you or arrange for a replacement if necessary.

If there is an Aplple store in your area, you may set up an appointment with an iPod "genius"

Hey,
Don't panic!

iTunes lets you update the playlist manually too.
