Free Lotto is an Internet Scam run by a P.O. box called Plasma Net in N.Y. Go to www.ripoffreport.com and search the words Free Lotto. The results may not come up right away, keep trying. Send them nothing it is a scam. It is a credit card scam and when they get your info they will keep drawing money off your account monthly. You have a limited time to contact your credit card Co. to advise them. Ripoff report will introduce you to hundreds that were taken in by this scam. The checks they send are fraudulent and bounce. I am a retired Police Officer and as a hobby investigate Internet scams. If Free Lotto has your email you will receive more scams. BE AWARE. The most likely source of these scams are Internet survey companies and they sell your email address. So far this year I am 24 million dollars richer according to the scams. Today I received one from "The World Bank (International Monetary Fund) That would send me a secure box with 10 million American all I have to do is send a "promissory note" for 500 thousand. This from a Rev. Fr. Nathan Benson at the World Bank UK. Needless to say I have forwarded this to the investigative arm of the F.C.C. and the F.B.I. on Internet Fraud.

They didn't send you a phone number or any kind of letter? If you had won a million dollars someone would have wanted to present the check to you in person, and also, probably take a few pictures (imagine publishers clearing house)

Checks like this go around often. What they want you to do is cash the check (If you actually can, I think all banks are catching them now), then they want you to send them a small "fee" that can add up to several thousands of dollars. Once you send the fee, you find that the check was a phony. You are required by the bank to repay the money they paid you. You have to make up any money you spent, and you never get back the thousands of dollars in "taxes and fees" that you paid.

Hope this has helped.

Do you have to send them money before you can collect yours? Or do you have to cash a check and then send the money back? If yes...it's a scam. Actually, it's probably a scam even if the answer is no. Sorry!

It's a scam. The very idea of a "free lotto" ought to tell you that!

Throw it away.

These things are ALWAYS scams and will ask you to make expensive phone calls or send them money before you get your 'prize'.
